Project: King Abdullah Centre
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Product: Wilson Flowgrid
Quantity: 25
Sensing Precision has seen its largest single order for the Middle East incorporated in to a new state-of-the-art hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
We were commissioned to supply 25 very large standalone Wilson Flow Grids (WFG) for incorporation in the new hospital. At over 3m², some of the grids are among the largest operating in a general HVAC environment. The company does make larger, but usually only for a limited number of special requirements flowgrids, or one-off WFGs for research applications.
The King Abdullah Centre for Oncology and Liver Diseases, the largest of its kind in the region, was completed earlier this year and opened by the Saudi Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. The hospital includes 300 inpatient beds in smart rooms plus 96 beds in an infusion centre (chemical and biological treatment) and eight operating theaters plus medical support services such as radiology, pharmacy and laboratories.
Andrew Hamshere, Sensing Precision’s general manager, said: “The climate in Saudi makes it even more of a challenge for the building management systems to control this specialist environment. The Wilson Flowgrids and their inherent accuracy are integral to that process.”
“This is our largest single order to the Middle East to date, and amongst our largest ever overseas orders.”
