Production Team Leader (Full Time)

Reporting to the Production Engineer and Operations Director, the Production Team leader will have a specialism in at least one of our key production processes for our Stainless-steel products. (Turning/Milling, CNC Machining, TIG Welding, Brazing, tool making or model making.) Leading the Production team to ensure our high quality finished products are completed in a timely fashion for customer delivery.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of supervision, leadership or management of production operatives.
  • A good understanding of all Manufacturing and Fabrication techniques for metal components and assembly methods for electro-mechanical products.
  • Vast experience within at least two of the areas above.
  • Competent understanding of electro-mechanical assembly processes and able to read engineering drawings.
  • Good Computer literacy skills including MRP/ERP use, although training will be given on our specific production system.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands on approach with ability to design own jigs and fixtures to aid process improvement.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and products.
  • Flexible attitude and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of TQM, checking and quality inspection with an eye for detail.
  • Engages with continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to engage with other departments.
  • Bring new ideas and processes to the business.
  • Minimum GCSE Grades A-C in Maths, Science and English with BTEC L3+/HNC desired.

Business Development Manager

Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Director, this position is primarily responsible for developing the UK business, building and maximizing Sensing Precision’s presence, visibility and overall growing the sales revenue. The BDM will be an integral part of the team working closely in a hands-on environment. The BDM will be an autonomous self-starter joining Sensing Precision with a key focus on creating new channels for the business solutions categories.

The Role:

  • The BDM is responsible for the daily account management and business development. This will be customer interfacing by means of face to face, verbal and electronic communication in a professional manner.
  • The BDM will be on the frontline in driving the development of the UK channels providing sustainable growth, building long term commercial relationships and meeting targets / deadlines.
  • The BDM will be responsible for ensuring emerging opportunities are leveraged and key long-term focus is respected.
  • The BDM will understand the strategy, the audience of the applicable channels, their requirements and needs ensuring Sensing Precision can address, provide solutions and execute.
  • Working closely with the HQ the BDM will contribute and add value to the UK business, aiding and implementing the strategy whilst sharing the vision and passion.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years proven sales / business development in both solution/consultative sales to the Consultant/Main Contractor/M&E contractors within the HVAC industry.
  • Ideally with good connections within the UK/London M&E Consultants and experience in HVAC specification sales of either AHU’s, Fans, Attenuators, dampers, or grilles/diffusers.
  • The successful candidate will also promote the companies commissioning instruments and calibration services direct to end users throughout the UK.
  • Flexible attitude and must have effective time management skills, be a self-starter with energy.
  • Effective communication, reporting and documentation skills.
  • Provide a high standard of market / channel planning, forecasting, feedback and reporting.
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Structured with good organisational skills.
  • Share the belief, passion and vision.
  • Ability to professionally present.
  • Professional sales, marketing and or business qualification, although not essential will be highly regarded.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure both yourself and the UK sector have excellent product knowledge.
  • Ensure Sensing Precision is represented well in terms of brand visibility in the sector.
  • Support HQ to ensure the successful development of marketing plans to increase business within the UK and globally.
  • Be able to provide and accurate assessment of opportunity cost vs. business requirement.
  • Create and maintain Customer intelligence and Market intelligence databases.
  • Monitor and report sector activities and development.
  • Work with HQ to successfully plan and launch new products and provide support in executing local trade and marketing plans & activities.
  • Negotiate and liaise with key stakeholders and customers.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies are observed always.
  • Assist in other activities across the business where required.
  • Be a positive, motivated Sensing Precision advocate always.

Mechanical Project Engineer

Working closely with clients to deliver optimal precision measurement solutions for their project.  Responsible for the Quotation, Design and delivery of the range of stock, configurable standard and fully bespoke products offered by Sensing Precision to the Building Services, (M&E Consultants and Contractors), Process Measurement, Automotive and other key markets.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Competent in mechanical design, able to Create Cad Drawings for manufacturing as well as customer approval.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office software.
  • Amiable personality able to build trust and relationships quickly with leader’s, peers and subordinates internally and externally, while maintaining a persuasive negotiating style to close sales.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written English Language skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction.

Other Advantageous Skills/Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering related discipline. (Civil, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering etc.)
  • Previous experience in Built Environment/Building Services or Process engineering projects beneficial.
  • A self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude highly motivated to excel in the role.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise actions and follow-ups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing own diary and working closely with colleagues.
